I need a little reassurance …

I’ll be honest, I don’t have too many moments of self doubt, but I have a few. We all do. It’s human nature. Maybe some of us pretend we don’t, but I’ve yet to meet even the most confident person who doesn’t need a little reassurance every now and then. I know I do.

I don’t see it as a sign of weakness though, I see it as a sign of being human and as such I always try to go out of my way to reassure others.

reassurance
noun

  1. the action of removing someone’s doubts or fears

Sometimes it’s the little things, like just telling someone they’re awesome or they’re doing a great job. Maybe we know they’re feeling a little bit anxious about something and all they need is a little nod that everything will be OK. Sometimes we can’t even fathom out why they need any reassurance as it seems to us they’ve got it all sussed. That’s usually when people need it the most.

I think of reassurance like a big verbal hug. We should give them out often and with a big dose of love.
