For The Love of My Sisters

As I prepare to embark on the first of this year’s One Retreat I am reminded of just how much my sisters mean to me.

I may have missed out on the biological ones, but I could not have wished for a greater crew of women to help steer me through both the calm and stormy waters of life. When you have a support network of dynamic, wise, and giving women, the world really is your oyster.
I’ve always valued my friendships, both male and female, but there is nothing like the bond of a sister.
It’s my sisters I’ve turned to when life’s got tough, it’s my sisters I’ve turned to when I've needed support, its my sisters I’ve turned to when my hearts been broken and its my sisters I’ve turned to when I can’t see the light.
They give me love, hope and support. They bring the sunshine out on a cloudy day. They make me cry. They make me laugh. They make me know, deep down in my bones that I am never, ever alone.
They’ve inspired my career, believed in my purpose and encouraged me to greater heights.
They share my wins, they share my losses. They’re my biggest cheerleaders, my loudest fans and my most honest critics.
Without my sisters, I would not be who I am. They say it takes a village to raise a child, I say it takes a Sisterhood to raise a woman.
To all my sisters. I am yours.
