Over 98% of monster snapalope reports are generated from store habitats in the United States.
Although no particular area of the country appears to have a higher frequency of reported
sightings, most are alleged to take place when the stores are quiet. In addition, most people
who report sightings claim to only see one monster snapalope, often grazing amongst a herd of
regular snapalope. Researchers point out that this common factor indicates patterns of a living
species occupying a habitual niche.
