So it’s the day of your first snapalope hunt, and you’re excited. You’ve heard the stories and seen the footage, and pretty soon you’ll
be stepping into the natural habitat of the snapalope yourself. By remembering the following simple tips, you’ll be better equipped to
calm your mind and focus on the task at hand: catching your very first snapalope.

Wear loose clothing
Clambering through the dense shelving of store habitats can be strenuous. You´re going to need every inch of agility if
you´re to keep up with these creatures. So wear loose clothing, but not too loose. This isn´t a rap video.
Switch your cell phone to silent
Leaving your ring tone on is a rookie move. No one wants a phone call to frighten away a trophy catch, not even
the person who´s ringing you.
Check in with the store clerk
Upon arrival at the store habitat, always check in with the clerk. A simple hand gesture is enough. Hunting can often
be misconstrued as loitering, and you don´t want to get thrown out of the store.
Familiarize yourself with the store layout
Make sure that you familiarize yourself with the store layout while taking note of any shortcuts. This way, you´re
better prepared when you have to give chase.
Check shelf stability if utilizing shelving
Safety should always be your number–one priority when out on a hunt. With that in mind, check shelf stability before
climbing up onto anything. You don´t want to break something and then have to pay for it.
Know where the soda machine is
When scouting store habitat, be sure to locate the soda machine. This is the central point of herd movement. More
often than not, you´ll find at least two or three snapalope taking a drink from a dripping tap. It´s also a great place
for you to re–hydrate after a long hunt.
Timing is everything
Pounce too early, and you scare your catch. Too late, and you´re clutching air. Waiting until the exact moment before
making your move is the difference between a full belly and empty hands.
