Behavior
Snapalope dwell in small herds and tend to stay in the one store their entire lives. This environment provides a constant haven for these majestic creatures, offering plenty of soda and hot dog bun crumbs on which to graze. Not noted for their intelligence, the snapalope rely heavily on their speed and sensitivity to movement in order to stay alive. It’s for this reason that it takes great skill and patience to catch one, and why their numbers continue to rise.

When excited or alarmed, most snapalope will spring into the air in what looks like a giant hop. Some have been documented to reach heights of up to five feet. That’s almost the top shelf of a soda cooler!
